About Us

Reducing Health Disparities

We are dedicated to dismantling barriers in healthcare. Recognizing that access to quality care should never be a privilege, CPESN® Kentucky works tirelessly to support community-based pharmacies in identifying, resolving, and treating health-related disparities. Through strategic partnerships and innovative service delivery, we strive to create equitable health outcomes for all Kentuckians.

Mission Statement

CPESN® Kentucky’s mission is to enhance the service delivery capabilities of community-based pharmacies by fostering and enabling the provision of high-quality, patient-centered enhanced services. These services are integrated with the patient’s care team and transcend conventional outpatient pharmacy contract obligations. We are dedicated to achieving equitable health outcomes and addressing health disparities by partnering with payers and local organizations. We enable pharmacies to identify, resolve, and treat health-related disparities, ultimately improving patient outcomes and building healthier communities.

At CPESN® Kentucky, we are not just reforming pharmacy services—we are reshaping the way communities experience health care. Our unwavering commitment to innovation, partnership, and equity drives every initiative we undertake. Whether you are a funding partner or a community stakeholder, we invite you to join us in our mission to build healthier, more vibrant communities across the Commonwealth.

Addressing critical gaps in healthcare delivery, CPESN® Kentucky began as a bold response to the growing need for integrated, community-based health solutions. Over the years, our organization has evolved into a trusted partner for local pharmacies and community stakeholders. We believe every Kentucky resident deserves access to high-quality, patient-centered care—regardless of background or geography.

Founded in 2016 as the Kentucky Pharmacy Care Network, CPESN® Kentucky began with a clear vision: To empower community-based pharmacies to transcend traditional dispensing roles and become indispensable extensions of the patient care team. Over the years, the network has cultivated strong partnerships with local health organizations, payers, and community stakeholders—laying the groundwork for pioneering initiatives designed to reduce health disparities and improve patient outcomes.

A significant milestone in our journey came in 2024 when our mission-driven organization achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. This approval not only validated our commitment to enhancing healthcare access across the Commonwealth but also strengthened our ability to expand innovative programs.

Today, CPESN® Kentucky continues to build on its rich legacy, guided by deep community roots and a steadfast commitment to reshaping care models. Our growth reflects our ongoing dedication to developing comprehensive, patient-centered care strategies that strive for excellence, equity, and better health outcomes for every Kentuckian.

Current Programming

At the heart of our work is a suite of innovative initiatives designed to directly address health disparities, enhance patient outcomes, and improve pharmacy service delivery.

Our programming includes efforts such as Vaccine Equity Programming to ensure that preventive care is accessible to all, an Over-the-Counter Voucher Program that supports low-income patients, and partnerships with clinical trial research facilities to secure diverse representation in clinical research. We also support community wellness with initiatives like our backpack program for youth transitioning from residential facilities—and more. Each program is thoughtfully crafted to empower our communities and create healthier, more equitable outcomes across Kentucky.
